by taking 10% of all developers' income, regardless of how much effort/cost it took the Itch owners to host/deliver each product (this would be extremely small, shrinking further as less human development work is done and economy of scale grows), the Itch owners have become the exact same kind of bourgeois gatekeeping parasites that Steam et al were. much like Bandcamp, they now just present themselves as merely the *less* exploitative option to the people making art and wishing to sell it online
